Who are your style icons?
Carrie Bradshaw, Kerri Washington, Grace Kelly.

How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as timeless, and understated. I do like to incorporate trendy items into my wardrobe from time to time, however I usually style them around classic pieces to add more longevity to my wardrobe.
What inspires you?
I guess an easier question to answer would be, what doesn’t inspire me! Everything inspires me. From nature, and architecture, to art and ancient antiquities. I am a very visual person; I love images that evoke some sort of thought, and emotion.

What’s your favorite item in your wardrobe?
My favorite item in my wardrobe would most likely have to be my Diane Von Furstenberg silk wrap dress. I’ve had it for almost 10 years, and it is still as relevant today as it was then.
How would you describe your blog?
My blog is pretty much an extension of me. It encompasses my love for all things creative, touches on my quest for self-advancement whilst inviting others to come along on the journey with me, and of course, I talk a lot about hair!

Local Shopping Secrets:
The Salvation Army is my local go-to shop. I live in a very rural area, so we don’t have much in the way of fashion. In Royal Oak, MI (which is where I grew up and my parents still live) I always hit up Lost and Found Vintage.
Online Shopping Secrets:
I can’t go a day without checking ModCloth’s new arrivals. I also stalk several Etsy and eBay shops. I’m all about finding vintage on the cheap.

I think it’s slightly eclectic, experimental and messy. Its a mix of bold patterns, classic dressing and being fun. I don’t stick to trends and like to play around with different styles.

Everything and anything. I’m inspired by patterns, colours, print, people, places, art. I think its all part of being an artist at heart. I like to write down things that inspire me in my notebook.

How would you describe your blog?
LLYMLRS is a normal blog for normal girls, with obtainable clothes and normal lifestyle. It’s just real and not like some fashion blogs who are like ” This is 24 pictures of me, walking down the street in a $500 vintage designer dress with my new Balenciaga handbag, just holding my latte…”.

“Marla Singer”, 21, from Indonesia, is a university student and stylist/shopkeeper in a local clothing company and blogs over at: theversicle.com
Who are your style icons?
I’m very inspired by Chloë Sevigny and Zooey Deschanel. Both of them have adorable styles without looking oh-so-trendy or too ordinary either. They’re just so unique in their way. At the moment, I love Charlotte Gainsbourg because she is a beautiful French lady that can pull off masculine look in amazing way. I also adore Natasha Khan from Bat For Lashes because of her breath-taking style and she stands out of the rest musicians nowadays.

How would you describe your style?
It’s a bit hard to explain. I’m crazy about vintage stuff but I love to rework it in my outfits in a modern way. I love all kinds of clothes and mixing styles, depending on my mood board and my current inspirations. Monochrome, matching colors, and layering are the keys of my outfits. I barely wear jewelry, but I’m a hats and scarves junkie. I also combine socks with everything. When I dress up, I love to get into a character, with my signature style and I just wear my heart on my sleeve.

What inspires you?
Ummm.. basically everything! From music, movies, books, or random things. I love vintage eras from 1950s to 1980s because each era has their own uniqueness. I take every little essence of the eras and bring them into my outfits. Browsing fashion blogs or street style blogs is also one of my favorite ways to get inspired. Everyone has their own fashion taste which is essentially down to their individual sense of style and it’s very interesting to get inspirations from real people. I enjoy flipping through fashion magazine pages. While imagining those unaffordable clothes, I try to integrate little essences of those editorials to incorporate what’s in Vogue into my wardrobe in a way that expresses my personality.

Your favorite item in your wardrobe?
Definitely my leather jacket! It’s my timeless wardrobe staple for every occasion and every style. I’d love to buy a leather jacket every week if I had unlimited shopping budget!

How would you describe your blog?
Well, as a little kid from nowhere on earth, I find the internet builds tremendous connections between me and people around the universe on the same page. My passion for fashion, inspiration, favorite things, thoughts, and little stories of my life are the reasons I created a blog, rather than just to show what I’m wearing today. I put fashion as a form of creativity – how a person dresses and acts with the clothes through the freedom, passion, difference and style, it becomes the art of individuals. It’s more personal than the fashion community websites (like Lookbook.nu and Chictopia) that I belong to.

What are your fashion plans for this summer?

Who are your style icons?
I really admire the style of Sofia Coppola in her sartorial choices and in her films. I also love Anna Dello Russo’s style – more people should wear looks directly from the runway! And Faye Dunaway’s character in Bonnie and Cylde has my ideal wardrobe.

Everything; I like looking at other bloggers, but I’m also largely influenced by old movies and my surroundings.

Your favorite item in your wardrobe?
A dress that Neneee (neneee.com) and I collaborated on; it’s split right down the middle featuring two different brocades.

How would you describe your blog?
My blog is an artistic personal style blog; I capture my daily outfits in the wilderness near where I live and I’m just as likely to post on illustrators, Romantic poets, and graffiti as I am on runway collections.
What are your fashion plans for this summer?
This summer I’m playing with unusual lengths (for me) and vintage fascinators. I find summer looks are all about the accessories, so finding interesting ones is the current goal. I’m actually trying to experiment this summer. A few items I’m into: flower crowns, sheer black blouses, nude heels, socks with sandals and oxfords (cool weather in WA makes layering possible all year long), mixed prints, gold jewelry (mostly rings and double finger rings), colorschemes of berry, navy, black, and matte, bright red lipstick. I want to try lots of new looks this summer!

Who are your style icons?
I absolutely adore Tennessee Thomas (and the other girls from The Like) style-wise. They are so classic! I also love Zooey Deschanel, Diane Kruger and Rachel Bilson. Especially their street-style. I feel like all of them combine feminine with an edge and all have vintage inspired style. Definitely something I strive for!

How would you describe your style?
I’d say I’m very girly with feminine florals, but with a rocker edge. I love mixing the two looks! But I’d definitely say I fit to match my surroundings. A ship tour? I’m dressed nautically. A picnic in a field? I’m dressed in florals. A downtown concert? I’m in lace up boots and a lace dress. It all depends!

What inspires you?
Definitely the seasons. I feel like in each season my style changes to fit whatever my surroundings are! It’s so fun to see my fall looks, compared to my winter looks to my spring looks. It’s like a new person emerges each season but each season has elements of each other. I’m also really inspired by old photographs, movies and other bloggers just like me.

It gets so hot and muggy here in Michigan in the summers, so any type of free dress, protection from the sun and a tote to carry around my beach towel and necessities – it’s all I need!
