The apartment of graphic design student, Hilda Grahnat, in Malmö, Sweden, is a great example of less is more. The apartment may be small, but each living area is well-defined, from the bed with its display of retro record covers, to a vintage dresser-cum-bookcase showcasing Hilda’s collection of alarm clocks and cameras. We’re loving the art wall, with its mix of old family photos and empty frames. The bedroom of Idaho highschool graduate, Kara Haupt, is a sophisticated take on a teenager’s room – magazine clippings and memorabilia carefully collaging a wall, and clever use of storage: a windowseat becomes a bookcase, an cake stand for jewelry and an upcycled dresser with mismatching drawer knobs (How N.E.E.T.?! “Secrets is the underwear drawer, twirl is skirts, yaypants is of course pants and lazy is for all my lazy clothes.“)
