N.E.E.T. Homes
The Netherlands home of Jane Schouten, is a testament to her skills as a graphic designer and artist – with stools recovered with embroidered vintage blankets, thriftmarket frames and a great mix of styles from different eras. Jane sells re-styled and re-worked furniture and design objects through her site – alltheluckintheworld.nl, which also showcases more of her artwork – as does her Flickr, including a fantastic take on a Christmas tree.

The home of Nevada-based graphic designer, Jen Ramos, reflects her work – clean lines, bright colours against monochrome, and appealing additions of of pattern and print. We especially love the use of chalkboards and magazines as artpieces – check out Jen’s blog and shop for her original posters, notecards and more!

Mandi Johnson – paper designer, Etsy vintage shop owner and interior design student – shares a home with her brother, Matt Graber, a graphic designer, in the Akron area of Ohio. Their home reflects their creative eye, with great quality furniture, subtle pops of color and vintage poster wall art.

Natasha, of Candy Pop Images, is a freelance photographer and visual artist from the university city of Oxford, England. Her home reflects her love of all things from days gone by – with kitsch detailing, fleamarket finds and vintage kitchen appliances – all combined into an homage to retro Britain with a modern twist. Check out her gallery for prints of the English seaside, carousels and peonies.

With dreams of quitting the rat race and opening a boutique bed & breakfast, Jeska Hearne fills her Flickr photostream with photos of her daily life and shots of her coastal home’s interior design details. Bunting and vintage images of Paris hang from goldleafed frames by wooden pegs, with seasonal fresh flowers and lace doilies decorating the dining table. Her handmade garlands, wreaths and postcard sets can be purchased through her Etsy shop, or view her moodboards at recordtheday.blogspot.com.

Rachel Denbow, designer for Red Velvet Art who we just featured in Issue #016, is a “twenty-something girl with a love for old things and a constant itch to be making something useful or pretty”. Her home certainly reflects this, with handmade art, 50s crockery and repurposed homewares…
