Coury Combs, 29, Los Angeles, runs her online store (on eBay for now) and blog full time – and has many dreams for the future! She blogs over at: fancytreehouse.blogspot.com

We think she’s N.E.E.T. because of: her hair (platinum blonde! big fringe!) – and her mix and match of styles!

What’s the meaning behind your blog’s name?

My sister and I used to play music together in my bedroom and she wrote a song called “My Treehouse” that I loved. I had a xanga that I named mytreehouse and somewhere along the way, mytreehouse was unavailable so I decided on fancytreehouse because if there’s anything better than a treehouse it’s a fancy treehouse!

    Your style icons?

Mostly everyone from any era (1700s to present!) who had any kind of personal style and made whatever they wore their own. I particularly always love the 1960s and Sandra Dee, Goldie Hawn, Pattie Boyd, etc..

How would you describe your style?

I recently said “What a cupcake would wear if a cupcake wore clothes” but when I said that I had definitely had a margarita. I don’t take it back, though. I love sweet colors and fabrics. I like to be comfortable too. Could I walk around at Disneyland in this outfit? Could I stroll through the forest? Good.

    What inspires you?

I love color. It fascinates me. Stylish films from the 60s are particularly inspiring to me at the moment.

Your favorite item in your wardrobe?

I can’t play favorites because I mostly wear pieces I’m going to sell in my store. I love all my my shoes, though. I think it’s important to have really nicely made shoes. I don’t really get too attached to any of my clothes. I just love them and leave them!

How would you describe your blog?

It’s basically chronicling what I wear everyday with glimpses into my life. I love keeping my life documented because I love life so much. I don’t ever want to forget anything.

What are your fashion plans for this spring?

I’m loving colorblocking pastels. I just want to pile on every pink, peach, mint,  pale yellow, and lavender item I own! I’m also trying to wear more heels. I always wear flats but I’m going to challenge myself!

    Local Shopping Secrets:

I mostly shop online. A lot of the vintage stores in LA have this attitude that doesn’t make me feel welcome. I won’t name any of those but there’s a cute store in Echo Park called Bobbie and a cute store in Eagle Rock called Lady that are fun to check out.

    Online Shopping Secrets:

Ban.do (love the pompoms, sequin hearts, and bow headbands!), Red Velvet (darling new dress line!), Sea of Bees (the best animal jewelry!) and Adore Vintage (the dreamiest vintage!)

Kristabel Plummer, 23, currently lives between Nottingham and London, England.  She’s a final year knitwear student preparing to finally be released into the ‘real world!’ and blogs over at: iwantyoutoknow.co.uk

We think she’s N.E.E.T. because: she loves hosiery in all patterns and colors – and she’s not afraid of yellow!

What’s the meaning behind your blog’s name?

I was really obsessed by the song ‘I Want You To Know’ by Charlotte Hatherley, and thought it’d be a good name as it was slightly ambiguous.  I think it encompasses every kind of topic I want to write about as it’s essentially all the things I all the things I want people to know. I’ll write about everything from a designer collection I’m coveting, a bargain maxi skirt I’ve found or an exhibition I’ve recently visited.

    Your style icons?

I might as well join the herd and admit to slight Alexa Chung and Chloe Sevigny envy, but my main style icons seem to be the bloggers I follow and people I see in my everyday life.  I love people who really have fun with fashion and take risks and the streets of London are never short of inspiration.

    Kristabel iwantyoutoknow

How would you describe your style?

Definitely eclectic, I love so many pieces and looks and could never limit myself to just one sort of style.  Each outfit I wear somehow influences the next and I’m always open to new possibilities.

    What inspires you?

I am inspired by the need to try new things, whether it’s lengths, colours or fabrics.  I am always wanting to make the best of pieces I already own and prove their versatility.

Your favorite item in your wardrobe?

It’s very hard for me to choose a favourite! I think my favourite items shift with the seasons; at the moment I can’t get enough of my black pleated midi skirt.

How would you describe your blog?

My blog is an online scrapbook of all my fashion related thoughts but it can also cover anything I’ve seen around me.  I like to have a mixture of posts and never just stick to one thing.  It’s been a really useful way of organising my style discoveries and seeing how it’s developed.

What are your fashion plans for this spring?

I’m trying to choose carefully this season, but I think my wardrobe would be ‘complete’ with a nicely fitting blazer, a simple crew neck jumper, some creeper inspired shoes, a classic trench coat, a collared dress and even more pleated skirts!

    Local Shopping Secrets:

I need to make a trip back to the Vintage Warehouse in Nottingham, but once I’m back in London I can’t wait to visit my favourite charity shops in Streatham and Bromley.

    Online Shopping Secrets:

I have my eye on a few Public Beware pieces but I really need to get trawling Etsy and Ebay for some undiscovered bargains!  I also like The Scarlet Room for clothes you don’t see everyone else wearing.
